


ALEEM HOSSAIN is a director and writer who earned a Humanities B.A. at the University of Chicago and a film directing M.F.A. at UCLA.
While at UCLA, he won Most Original Film of the Year for writing and directing PINKERTON, a genre bending cop film. The film screened at Comic-Con and the Los Angeles Shortsfest and earned him the Lew Wasserman Fellowship for Excellence in Filmmaking.
In 2001, Aleem was selected to be a Film Independent Project: Involve Fellow. In 2008, Aleem’s action-horror feature screenplay, THE SUFFERING, was an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival’s All Access Program. In that same year, Aleem wrote and directed the pilot episode of IT ENDS TODAY, a sci-fi drama web series.
Aleem's next project was CENTRAL DIVISION, a police thriller web series, which was picked up for distribution by Kold Cast TV in 2010 and was nominated for best Drama of 2010 at NATPE's LATV Fest and Best Thriller of 2010 in the Indie Intertube Awards.
Aleem is currently directing his first feature, AFTER WE LEAVE, a sci-fi drama.
